You still very well may have PCOS. Some women don't have the cysts but still have the syndrome. There is no single test to definantly rule out PCOS, it is a combination of symptoms.
You should find another dr and make an appt. soon.
It is possible to get pregnant with PCOS, but without proper treatment it isn't very likely.
Also, there has to be some reason for the symptoms you are having and whether or not it they are from pcos you still need to find out the underlying condition.

You say you were seen by a doctor 4 years ago, I would get seen by another dr or at least go in with questions.. I was diagnosed with PCOS through blood tests not by ultrasound. I didn't have the all the cysts that are normally seen around the ovaries. I have no other symptoms other than my insulin level is a wee bit high. In terms of conceiving with PCOS you have an good shot. PCOS is so much more researched today that there is an arsenal of fertility meds that can help you achieve your goal of having a baby. To help your chances try switching to a low carb diet and exercising. Too many carbs can send your insulin level soaring which will in turn cause your hormones to get out of whack. (thus causing no period and no ovulation). If you're overweight try losing about 10% of your body weight. You will also want to get your thyroid checked out-a lot of PCOS symptoms are actually thyroid issues in disguise. Good luck on your journey!!

I would recommend going to a different doctor. I went to three different doctors and had 3 different ultra sounds done each time to figure out my way out of control periods. My newest Dr. is the best. she was the one that told me I have Pcos. They did blood work and saw that me teststerone level was way to high...and a few other hormones werent normal either. The ultra sound didn't show much but she said it did show a little bit...however..when the ultrasound tech did it, she said everything looked normal. So they can't really read what everything means. I just found all of this out yesterday. She put me on prometium to start my period, metformin for insulin, and clomid. This is day one of the whole pill taking so I hope it works.......But I would go to a different Dr.

I was diagnosed with pcos 6 months ago. The Dr. did an ultrasound and also found no signs but due to all the other symptoms such as insulin resistance, lack of a period, weight gain, and body hair she diagnosed me with pcos. I am trying to get pregnant it's tough but I seem to be getting closer to having a baby!! I would use opk's to see if your ovulating!

You could have a simple thyroid disorder. Have you had that checked? The thyroid will cause abnormal hair growth and irregular periods also. If your thyroid function tests come back normal, ask your doctor for a diagnostic laparoscopy. You could have PCOD or endometriosis and a laparoscopic procedure would be the only positive diagnostic test for either one. Also, stop trying so hard to get pregnant. That just may be the problem itself ... quit "working" on it and relax.
Good luck to you and your boyfriend.

yes, you can definitely have kids even if you had PCOS there are plenty of meds out there to help you ovulate...but you should get a second opinion from a doctor, also you can have your boyfriend checked up to make sure everything is ok on his end too, you can ask an RE (fertility specialist) online for free and see what they think, try www.FertilityTies.com
good luck!!

Find another doctor, maybe a reproductive specialist to discuss your issues.
Yes you can conceive even if you have PCOS.
