I have to replace starter & solenoid on my 95 monte carlo its a z34 and I was going to buy parts and have a mechanic replace them and wanted to know how long it would take him cause he charges $80.00 an hour

Well on the other hand if its a 3.4L engine expect about 4 hours cause its a b**ch

Depends on the type of engine you have. If you have the Z34 I'm betting you have the 3.8L V-6 (possibly supercharged), which is the same engine I have in my Grand Prix GTP. The starter isn't difficult to replace, but the solenoid is tricky. Just to be on the safe side, plan on 3 hours -- I'm betting it'll only take 2, but better to err on the side of caution.
