You said yourself that you can't survive without these two people in your life. You see them telling you what needs done as an insult or criticism, almost like you're dumb and you should have known already. Try not to feel this way since your wife is sending out reminders as wives and mothers do. It's our job. And your boss.. well, your boss is your boss and he's bossing you, look at it from him as his job and try not to take it personally. His job is to make sure everything gets done, so he too is reminding you what to do. If you want to avoid these "reminders" try to get ahead and do things before they "need" done, but then there's no guarantee they won't tell you what needs done next. Maybe you should ask them both to send you notes or e-mail, maybe it would be easier to take? I hope this helps!

maybe the reason you get irritated and frustrated over this is because of the way they ask you to do something and theyre request sounds more like a command. Perhaps when your boss ask you to do something it sounds like a lack of respect is coming through to you and you need to politely tell him how you feel when he speaks to you but choose your words carefully. Maybe when your wife is asking you to do something it doesnt sound like shes asking you out of love for you so wind up feeling under appreciated. It sounds like you just need to communicate your feelings, listen you may feel like you cant survive without these two people, but if your peace of mine is compromised and your feeling like these people are treating badly your relationship with these people wont survive either.

Yup...This is the problem with many...they always do keep instructing others ..weather its required or not...but as they are the loved ones so one can not just ignore them...
U can tolerate this by just looking towards the other side of this...that in spite of the busy routine they hav, they still think abt u..they are still giving time to u..coz u r someone close to them...Try to think this way..hope this will help

They have to much time on their hands. Your boss i understand. Your wife I do not. Maybe you should ask her how you ever lived your life without her telling you what to do and how to do it. Sounds like you might need to take a break from life. Take some time out for yourself......

You could be a bit dumb and the instructions might be for your benefit after all. If not, tell them clearly to stop giving you instructions, as you are mature enough to act without those instructions.

Go back and let them know how you feel and tell them that you have a mind of your own, and that you are capable of doing things your way. If you constantly listen to them how are you going to express your potential and capabalities. Tell them you would like a chance for self expression. IT must be very hard for you to just follow. I am sure you like to be left alone. Be assertive! Or else you can fall sick, do not allow anyone to walk over you. YOu will feel like a door mat and you dont deserve to be treated that way.

The translated version of a local saying is: How sweet this life will be, if wife remains everfresh, if friends are always loyal, and if the boss you get is always stupid one. Hope this covers your query.

It is hard to tell if you are being to sensitive or if they are rude. My wife reminds me and checks on things sometimes and it ticks me off...but then that is because of my track record lol!!
So do some introspection. Do you need to be told what to do? Have you let them down? Or are they really abusing you by not being more polite?

Take a deep breath and then.................Grow Up!
They tell you what to do because of your reactions to the world around you. Maybe they feel that you've given up on yourself and they need to prod you along. Or they could just be nagging but I get the feeling that isn't the case here.
