"Hey Mom,
There is a guy that I really like and he like me too.
Any advice?"

This gives mom the chance to feel helpful, and let her know about it at the same time.

Well speaking as a mother and a daughter. My mom always told me to be open and honest. Even if she says no right away, that don't mean she can't come back and change her mind the next day. From a point of view as to me being a mom, I honest think your too young to be tied to a "boyfriend" but use the honesty thing...it works and your mom will be able to trust you in the future even when she don't like the boy!

Judging from the fact that you're actually seeking well-punctuated advice, I guess you're a lot more mature than some answerers give you credit for.

Depends on your relationship with your mother. My mum gets very suspicious of boyfriends, but that's just because she doesn't like to let go of me.

Drop hints, judge her mood, and when the moment's right - tell her.

But first, you need to be sure about this guy.

Good luck.

Well I think that your mom will be thrilled that you came to her about this, so don't even hesitate for a minute, just tell her in your own way.

Now she may not really be ready to be reminded that her little girl is growing up, but that's her problem to deal with, not yours. So if she seems a little less than 100% supportive try to be understanding of that, & remind her that you need her advice & support (in a nice & respectfull way of course) & I am sure she will be ready to help you out with your questions.

So go ahead & tell her, & enjoy your talk with your mom. Once she gets over the initial shock you two are going to have a lot to talk about. :-)

BTW rhadika may have had a bad experience when she told her mom, but she may have made a mistake telling her mom while in a shopping mall, & her mom shouldn't have laughed at her, that wasn't too smart of her. I suggest you sit down with your mom alone at the kitchen table to have this talk.

Well your a teenage girl I'm sure your mom already knows that your liking boys and they are liking you as well. I mean your mom was once a girl herself and she too liked boys at 13 maybe even younger. =-)

So the best thing to do is to talk with your mom about a boy at school that u think is cute and u like him and he likes you and ask her what she think about you liking him

Make sure you tell her that u only like him you don't LOVE him but you do like him because he's cute and he likes U and thats as far and all it is tell her you will NEVER do anything thats gonna get you in trouble

She may have some things she want you to know and rules she wants you to respect( please don't sneak behind her back and do this because it will come back to hunt u) your mom will like that fact that you came to her about this

So that might win u some points because u did come to her not someone else

Tell her you want to talk with her about something important and tell her about the guy and how you feel

Good Luck

I know it feels like it's gonna be the hardest thing to do but once you do it, things will be easier and fall into place

I also hope she allows you to date him u sound like you really like him and 13 is not too young to have a boy who's a friend

okay =-) so good luck

Dear M$$D,

Go on if your think that your matured enough. You may matured at the age of twelve. At 13 you're just like 15 maybe.

Tell you mom. Sooner ar later she will know. If that's true tell her. Be brave. It's nothing wrong in liking someone. And your boy friend is fond of you. Of course you're "NOT" in love at that age, do you?. It's just only friends. So what's wrong with it. Ask your boy friend to see your mother. Tell her that your boy friend is your closest friend in school and between both of you helping each other in school.

Ask her how she would feel if you got a boyfriend, or if you even liked a boy. based on that reaction, you can decide when the right time to tell her is. Most likely she'll realize that while you guys arnt doing anything wrong, you should be able to handle having a bf.

Well, first try to make a conversation with her about your school or your friends. Then, tell her that your friend like a boy and that boy like her too. Ask her, "what do you think mom?". And hear her answer. If her answer tell you that's fine, in other conversation say about your feeling. But if her answer tell that she doesn't like something like that, why don't you just backstreet? Make a brave decision. By the way, I am 13 too. : D

Tell her straight out and honest. Mother, I like this boy (insert name) who is 13. If he is nice, smart, and decent, you might want to add those tidbits as well. Honesty is always the best policy.

I would just be like, "mom, can I talk to you?" I'm sure she would appreciate the fact that you are coming to her to talk about it...I have a 13 year old daughter, and I'm not sure that she would tell me if she liked a boy or not...I wish she would!! It will be fine...good for you for opening up to your mom!

I'm sure your momwould already expect you to be liking boys and knows that kids at school have relationships. She was once 13, just tell her.
