Than if you handled it yourself? Every freebie, program, benifit has a price. I want government running the country and staying out of my personal affairs as much as possible.

A government life raft would require a Department of Utility Mobile Buoyancy (DUMB). This department would require thousands of staff and would increase their budget each year by using surpluses to purchase golden oars at the end of each fiscal year.

When it's all said and done, we would be MUCH better off allowing all people the right to manage their own emergency planning.

Well, since the government doesn't produce anything, they'd just cut a 2 inch square out of everyone else's rafts to stitch a leaky raft together for me. Eventually, no one will be willing to get into the water. Who is John Galt?

There is no privacy.....we don't have a right to it.... if we did our phones wouldn't be tapped and there wouldn't be video survalliance everywhere.
Not to mention our email, cell phones, text messaging and anything and everything else we use that we feel is safe and private, it is not...we are all being watched and listened to all the time.
