I had to push my 1st baby out for almost 3 hours, 2nd only pushed about 30 minutes, and my third came out so fast, she pushed herself out in 8 minutes flat!
What are the chances of that happening again?
Stories please?

I'd like another. It can be tough but I love the chaos and to be a Mommy! :)

My third was the biggest of all 3 of my babies--at 8lbs, 12 oz!!
1st was 7lbs, 12 oz, 2nd was 7lbs, 8 oz.

delivering vaginally gets easier as the number of kids increase, so If you are pregnant again, chances are your baby won't wait for you to do a big push. Your muscles are already stretch and well trained for the job.

I pushed for 30 minutes with my first son. My second son was born so quickly that no doctor or nurse made it to my delivery room. There was a hospital volunteer in my room asking me normal questions when I announced that I felt an urge to push. Thirty seconds later, my second son was born. No counting to 10, no holding my legs back, just a baby practically flying out. My Dad is an OB/GYN and says there is a likely chance I will deliver at home next time. Anything can happen and I will be prepared for whatever comes my way. Theoretically, you should be able to push a pound heavier baby out quicker then your first.

I think it depends on the size of the baby and ripeness of your cervix. Some mom's, especially first timers, are in a huge rush to get the pregnancy over with and the baby out, and they pressure their doctor to induce a little too soon, which just results in longer labor and delivery. If you let your baby handle the timing, then it improves your chances of labor and delivery being faster and easier.

My first I pushed for 3 hours, my second I pushed for 1 minute, 29 seconds.

With my first child I pushed for like two hours, with my son, the doctor just had walked in the room and was getting his gown and gloves on and told me to go ahead and push if I needed to and my son literally flew out of me! The Doc didn't even have his gear on yet. lol If I have another child, I hope it is that easy again!

Wow, that is great! I wish that had happened to me, but I had two c-sections. I have heard of many who have an easy delivery just like you did. I think that in your case it only got easier after the first two. They say first timers take longer but you are one lucky mommy.

Each pregnancy is different. I've seen babies "pop" out after one or two good pushes, in a big gush of water like they were surfing.
