Yes, Nashville, TN have been on half days all week due to the heat wave.

Dang, from down south here in Texas? The heat is pretty bad. School hasn't actually started yet for me, it starts on Monday. Although, the marching band had daily summer practices since the end of July outside in the sun, even when there was a heat advisory. That's abuse, I tell ya.

In the UK Summer has only just started (it's supposed to be Autumn now but the nice weather has only just begun)
Kids go back to school in two weeks. We are all still on Summer Vacation
