This movie I think is one of the funniest ever. I just don't think the NAACP,International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission and other groups would let them get away with it today.
It seems like everyone is PC these days and so serious.

Absolutely and it would be huge. It also might cure some of the ridiculous crap we have to deal with these days. It's like Annie Lennox' song, "Walking on Broken Glass." Everybody's so scared of insulting everyone else.

Although I'm not crazy about her routine, Lisa Lampanelli, the insult comic, gets away with murder. Why? Because she owns up to it. Says out front that it's her act and that she's going to be obnoxious, racist, Non PC. Then does it and gets away with it.

Good question.

I think so, and I think it would be rated PG-13 and marketed to teenagers.

I love the show Rescue Me on FX. The jokes, insults, racism and content are as bad sometimes if not worse than anything in Blazing Saddles...and it's on Basic Cable TV!

American's moral standards are non-existent.

Could it probably not. Should it be allowed yes. Some of the best movies ever made have that crap in it. People need to learn how to laugh at themselves and stop getting pissed off at every joke made about sex, race, politics. Out with Political Correctness, In with saying what you mean.

No Way could that great movie be made today....too many protests and probably law suits would incure given the nature of our sue-happy culture. It's sad that even in a satire there will always be some harmless thing that offends someone.

Probably not. The only racial jokes made in movies/TV these days is usually at the expense of white people.

Yes it could, think of all the movies with racial names, gay jokes, etc, to be honest thought, i dont think a remake would be nearly as funny.

Why would you want to remake Blazing Saddles, it's a classic and it needs to be left that way

Mel B. says he was very lucky to be producing filme when he did, a narrow window prior to P.C. when you were allowed to be funny.
