Never heard of any who don't perform a credit check, and quite honestly, they too will be tightening up their standards. Good credit will be increasingly important in all aspects of renting and ownership so you need to get your budget in order and stick to it or you'll pay a heavy price for years to come.

Most complexes care about your income more than your credit rating. They want you to make 3 times the rent or whatever. Find some complexes you like and tell them what your situation is up front. One of them will work with you.

The ones that are trying to go out of business. Seriously though, go to them and tell them what your situation is - if you can put down extra deposit, and/or pay a couple months rent in advance it still might all work out.

Only people who rent rooms out of their houses, or rent out a guest house on their property. Most everyone else does.
