I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks and it was incredibly painful. It started out as light bleeding, then I got abdominal cramps so bad while I was sleeping that they woke me up in the middle of the night. I bled very heavily for about 2 days and passed some tissue matter, the pain didn't subside until the bleeding lessened (I was given pain pills). Aside from the pain it was very much like a HEAVY period. It is extremely common to have a very early miscarriage -- it's the body's way of terminating if a mistake was made. My doctor explained it as when the egg is fertilized cells begin multiplying at an incredible speed -- and sometimes a mistake is made. The mistake could be a funny shaped eyebrow or it could be a heart condition . . . and the body will often terminate because something isn't right. A lot of doctors speculate that many women have had very early miscarriages without even knowing they were pregnant.

I had a miscarriage at about six and a half weeks. It really just felt like a period, mild cramps and bleeding. You normally do have some clots but not a always, it depends on how far you are. I didn't find mine to be physically painful just emotionally. But if you are trying to have a baby you are most likely to get pregnant again right after a miscarriage. I never even got a period after we lost the first baby and hello there was another positive pregnancy test.

You can and you can't feel pain. I miscarried two times, first time I did had pain and then the second time I didn't have pain both at 5week and one day. And I wonder what's the problem. I'm only 23 years old and I had to go through this at a tender age. I don't know what to do. I think I'm pregnant again since I'm experiencing some symptoms I experience before like increase appetite and urinating a lot. And my breasts are sensitive.

ive had 2 miscarriages one at 6 weeks and one at 5 weeks they both started out as spotting then turned into what was like a normal period then onto a heavy period with period type pain. mine was in my back i also had clotting one quite big one each time ( which turned out to be my baby) and other clots that were much smaller. some ppl dont have any pain and some have alot along with the bleeding some have heavy bleeding and some dont. others dont even know they have miscarried until they go for there scan.

It could be painful yes. I was pregnant last year and got in a serious car accident. I actually didn't find out that I was until I went to the hospital to get checked out. A day later I started bleeding and it just kept getting worse. It felt like a period at first but then It got really bad. I was throwing up everywhere and I had terrible cramps. I had to go to the ER and they gave me morphine and vicadin for the pain.
