The double-header the Rangers played against the O's, they scored 39 runs. I think they said that was also a record.

The Rangers' 39 runs the other day set a new AL record for a doubleheader.
For any two consecutive games -- well, the Red Sox demolished the Browns two days in a row in 1950, 20-4 and 29-4. If 49 isn't the record, I have a hard time imagining what is. Retrosheet has complete data for 1957-2006 and a handful of earlier seasons (1950 not yet included), and the best two-game performance in that database is 41 by the 1911 Cincinnati Reds.

I don't know if it's the record or not, but I could swear that 10 or 12 years ago the Tigers had 2 games in a row in which they scored 20+ runs in each.
EDIT: I take it back. I looked it up on baseballreference.com. The time I'm thinking about was in April of 1993, when they scored 20 against the A's and 20 against the Mariners within a few days, but they weren't consecutive games.

I don't know the record either, but the Twins had 32 runs in a single day (not as good as the rangers 30 in a game though). It was a double header against the Chicago White Sox. 20 runs in the first game and 12 in the second.
