Directions To Reliant Stadium

There is a light rail that travels from downtown Main Street, through the Medical Center and on to Reliant Park. The fare is $1. Find out if your hotel is on this route and you will be able to get there easily. There will also be taxis in front of your hotel, or the desk clerk can call for one and have it arrive when you want it. There will be a taxi line outside Reliant after the event is over. Since we don't know which hotel you're in, it's hard to know if the buses go by there. But you should be okay. Reliant Stadium isn't in a bad part of town. I'm sure you'll be fine if you're with other people. Again, it depends on which way you're walking and whether or not you will be on well lite streets.

Hobby Airport isn't trashy. It's just the smaller of the 2 airports. It services the low-cost airlines like Jet Blue, Southwest, AirTran, etc. Bush intercontinental is a bit further away. Both of them offer shuttle and cab service to down town. Regardless of which airport you fly into, you want to take I-45 (south if coming into Bush, north if coming into Hobby) and then get on the 610 loop. Reliant stadium sits right off the loop. YOu can't miss it. Alternatively, you can park downtown and take the metro light rail in.

While in Houston, check out the museum district. It's really good. Also, check out the various parks and the zoo. Galveston is just 45 minutes down the road if you want to go to the beach.

Nearest airport is Hobby Airport. From airport get on I-45 North (The Gulf Freeway). Take the Loop 610 South exit. Gett off the freeway on Kirby Dr. Turn north on Kirby the Astrodome is on your right.

The closest Airport to Reliant Stadium is Hobby, but it's trashy and in a bad area.

I'd recommend flying in to Bush Intercontinental. It's right off the main freeway that will take you downtown to the stadium.

As far as things to do, they've got great Museums and parks, but avoid the Aquarium Restaurant attraction, unless you're just there to see the fish. The food is HORRIBLE and overpriced.
There's a pretty good club scene downtown depending on what you like to do. Check out the Houston Press online, it lists all the current events, shows, hot clubs etc.

Look for the Astrodome on Loop 610. Reliant Stadium is that ugly thing next to it.
