I have a 2003 pontiac Bonneville, that collects water in rear passenger drivers side flooor. I have read this comes from leaky windshields and a cowling that gets moved.if so I would like to do the repair myself. The dealer where I lives is not very qualified and very overpriced.(small town) I also heard that this is a design flaw and there was supposed be a recall on it, but I can't find it. Also does any one know where the drain tube is for the ac.

the drain tube for your air conditioning unit is clogged with leaves or other debris and the moisture that condenses on the evaporator can't drain to the ground so its filling up the case and spilling over inside the car.

take your car to the dealer or any shop and ask them to blow out the evaporator drain tube. it will take about 10 minutes to fix the problem and they usually don't charge you to do it, especially if you get an oil change at the same time

the drain tube is a rubber hose that comes out of the center to center right side of the firewall usually about 2" up from the bottom of the firewall. The hose is usually about 1/4" in diameter.

hope that helps

I had this happen when I washed the car or it rained heavily. It was because someone serviced the door and poked a hole in the plastic water barrier inside of the door. I would wash the car and the water poured right out onto the floor. If the air conditioner is not causing the flood, check the door seals by having someone help by spraying the car with a garden hose while you look for water entering the car. Also make sure that the water on the floor isn't antifreeze leaking from the heater. Open the hood and clean the heater/Air intake grills under the hood to be free from leaves.

Check your trunk for any leaks.... I know someone who had water collecting inside the vehicle and it turned out to be coming from the trunk.
