I can not say that deer or any other animal is acceptable. I totally disagree with everything. I am a major dog lover so i will not even step on that subject because i will have a book writen on here, as for hunting it blows my mind. I live in the country and i hear shotguns go off all the time and know that another poor deer is gone. I go to the local country store and it is filled with hunters and I bite my tongue because i want to scream at each of them or better yet stick there guns (well i cant say that or i will get a violation) lol
anyway, sorry for venting I just dont believe in it and of course i just have to shut my big mouth
as for hunting for the deers own good because they will get run over or starve to death (bologna) TELL IT TO SOMEONE ELSE.. it is a sport and people are terrible.
okay i am done venting. :)
by the way you get a star for that question. (it was awesome)

What is wrong with you? Are you seriouse? Dog fighting is way different from hunting. First of all the animals you hunt are killed right away by one shot and are eaten and other parts from them are used. In dog fighting the animals are beaten in order for them to get that way, it is not like those dogs are born that way. In order to get these dogs worked up they put a mesh bag above them with baby dogs or kittens or rabbits. It is just horrible and wrong and anyone who thinks that hunting is the same thing needs to be kicked in the head.

Granted...I don't really like hunting either, but I look at is like of all the hunters I know they hunt for a food source...not just for sport. I also believe that dogfighting is one of the most inhumane things someone can do. me, also being a pit bull owner this really hits close to home. I believe that dogfighting also gives a bad reputation to the breed of pit bulls...I know i got a little off subject.. but i really believe that hunting is also like population control for deers and other animals...whereas dogfighting is just cruel

We have domesticated dogs and made them a part of our families. Most who hunt do it to feed their families. How many people can you say have a deer as a pet? If you think it's a double standard, you need to know that the world is full of them. This is not one.

I used to be heavily against deer hunting until I realized what many were saying. With wildlife habitat disappearing at an alarming rate, food sources are disappearing as well. Hunting keeps numbers manageable. The alternative is slow starvation. I had to ask myself which was crueler. That's the question you must answer for yourself.

Apparently dog fighting is brutal, they fight to almost the death, and the loser gets electrocuted, drowned or hung. Deer hunting is more "humane" and they tend to use the parts of the animal as in olden days {before supermarkets}.

well, dogfighting makes the animal suffer and hunting you just shoot it and he's dead you don't pit an animal against another animal. where i live pretty much everybody hunts for food so i have nothing against hunting but i do hate dogfighting!!

Well for one most people don't call deer mans best friend. Since most people say that their dogs are part of there family, dog fighting just hits a nerve.

I don't think dogfighting or animal hunting should be acceptable. They are both equally wrong.
