i used to do more than expected and then had a relationship and sort stopped doing that..now a days i am wiser again and with the same guy for 25 months going strong and i realized that what made me as a person feel good was go the extra mile in all classes and overall..now i live a happy life and do what makes me happy..i still go the extra mile to prove to myself that i can do it,for others when they need my help or just to feel satisfied with my life as well as knowing that i am doing is rewarding..i guess that going the extra mile does not mean doing some crazy things but rather a little bit more effort than you put in..i only wish that more of my friends were like me and try their absolute best every day..

It depends if you own the company, how far up the ladder you are, how far up you wanna go or if you're happy just doing it for wages.
I found most people were happy "doing it for wages" which was good cos I found out early there really isn't much competition 'out there'.
I admit I usually gave more than I needed which never seemed too hard cos I always thought of myself as a slack lazy bastard who wouldn't work in an IronLung.
On reflection, I always started on the bottom and finished up near the top, on top or owning it.
In analysing it I seem to have had an unconscious knack for working smarter than harder – couple that with luck and it’s an almost unbeatable combination.
I wonder (very rarely) what I'd have accomplished if I'd 'given my all' and hadn’t left so much ‘in the lap of the gods’.

I always try to do what is right, to go the extra mile, but lately I have found that my understanding of this might not be total. Sometimes the extra mile is just to be still & stop for awhile. Sometimes the results are not left to me.

now and returned 5 extra miles out of ways, now and returned 5 extra hours, now and returned the two! Which reminds me, is it real that in case you supply somebody an centimeter, they're going to take a kilometer? And is a gram of prevention well worth a kilogram of scientific care?

Extra mile? How about 9 or 10 more. If I have the time...I always try to go further.

I go the extra mile by helping to feed the homeless at my church on Sunday nights. Noone makes me do it. I do it because I enjoy helping them. I help with the cooking, cleaning up and serving the food. I have also become friends with some of them. Some of them are down on their luck and have nowhere to live. I have been pretty close to being homeless a few years ago.

That all depends, if I can go the extra mile and it benefits some one who deserves it you know it, But there are times where I rather do just what is needed. There is a balance,

I always go that extra mile. The only thing is, that sometimes that extra mile can lead to places you should not be. So therefore, I am learning to curtail my inquisitive mind, just a bit, to allow my self room to back up.
