Interesting that you mention the one about the watermelon seed: I am a pretty short person (4'11"), and when I was little, my sisters told me that if I wanted to grow more quickly, I should eat grapes with seeds in them, including the seeds. I was very young when I was told this, and so I started doing, it, and ate grapes with seeds for about the next 15 years or so!

When I was little, I believed in the normal things such as Santa and all, monsters, gnomes, leprechauns, elves, all of that. And I believed there was a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

That Santa was missin fingers! The Santa that came to our house every year (the father of the man next door) had one hand with three finger on one hand and two stubs!...I also believed when our family took those Sunday drives and my dad would pull over and walk into the brush, he was really :Seeing a man about a horse! For those of you too young to remember that line, he was takin' a leak.

Real possiabilty of getting beat up if you walk into a situation where there's a guy quite bigger or older than you. And even beaten badly. Thing is this kind of mindset still seems common among kids and that can'nt be good for the mind. I agree it happens but most of would rather jump in front of a car for some kid rather than kick them down the stairs. If you asked a kid if he would kick a baby if he knew he could get away with it most would think the question bizzar would'nt they?

Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, miracles from God (still have that one), that people in heaven could look down and see us. A big one: that my mom and dad would be nicer. Guess what, they were 30 years later. LOL

the boogeyman, santa, toothfairy, easter bunny, toys coming to life, if u cross ur eyes too long, they'll stay like that, i used to believe i could fly..lol
(the toothfairy and easter bunny didnt last that long tho)
and a scary thing lol
i threw HUGE crying fits when i was little
i was a brat! lol
once my parents tried everything to get me to stop, but i wouldnt. then they said "u kno, if u keep doing that u will end up like ur older brother"
i was like "i dont have a brother"
they said "thats cuz we killed him and ate him"
i dont think i ever threw a fit again lol
once my dad told me that if u look in a pregnant woman's belly button, u could see the baby. lol. i totally believed him.
