I'm English but my mum's American cousin (lives in Texas) said to me the war in Iraq was keeping the terrorists over there as oppose to in the US.

I must admit, I found this slightly absurd and thought ahh, Reason Number 11 for the Iraqi war.

I don't think a flock of US based terrorists have all hopped onto a plane and hot footed it to Iraq, do you? American terrorists are all sitting comfortably in your country, possibly planning their next attack (hopefully not) just as our home-grown terrorists are in Old Blighty.

Have I actually answered the question yet?

No, I don't believe Al Q (or whoever) will be scrambling for their return flight tickets if US troops return home.

Your President is just trying to make you believe there's a reason for this war.

Regardless if we stay in Iraq or leave Iraq - or had never even went into Iraq we have and always will be a target for terrorist attacks. September 11th - we werent in Iraq yet we got attacked. And i dont buy the crap that somehow being in Iraq is keeping every terrorist in the world busy there. There is nothing to stop them from coming to America and blowing something up.

The terrorists weren't even in Iraq before we went there. The approval rating of Bush tells me that he can't convince too many of very much.

Most likely, if we leave too soon, this is what will happen, the country will be in chaos and those we were protecting, and those who helped us will be killed or imprisoned. And in time, our troops will have to go back in there..only this time it may involve Iran as well...and our nation will need a mandatory draft.

I think , US sghould withdraw its troops from Iraq.. "Terrorists" will not follow them back to USA when they leave , only if the US adminstration continue its policy in supporting aggressions in the Middle East and in Arab & Muslim world ..

"TERRORISM" is a reaction resulted from wrong and unjust policies of US and other Western governments ..

"Terrorists" in North Ireland was for their right ..
"Terrorists" in USA in September 11 was because of frustration from illegal and unjust support to "Israeli" aggression on Palestinian & other arab people...

IF USA AND OTHER WESTERN GOVERNMENTS STOP THEIR ILLEGAL AND UNJUST SUPPORT AND ITERFERNCE , "TERRORISM WILL STOP FOR EVER IN THE REGION !!!

Only resistance to occupation , whicch is legal, will continue ..

Another point , USA adminstration created problems in Iraq , and Iraqis could find solutions to these problems if they meet together in absence of USA and its allies !!!

Yes we should withdraw the troops and no, Bush's conjecture has no basis in reality.
