I would test again in a couple days. First morning urine is more accurate so the afternoon test might have been more diluted.

It's not too early to be pregnant again, good luck!!

I have always heard that there is no such thing as a false positive with a pregnancy test. I seriously doubt it would read positive just because you had a baby so recently. You are also extremely fertile right after you deliver, which is why most doctors will give you birth control when you leave the hospital or at the latest at your 6 wk check up.

The first morning's urine is more concentrated, so therefore more likely to read positive. That's likely why it read negative in the afternoon. I'd wait a couple days, then take another one first thing in the morning again. But in the meantime, I'd start trying to make a doctor's appointment. There's a very good possibility you're pregnant.

Best thing to do is go to your doctor & have a test done there as it was only 2 weeks ago you "got carried away" your HGC levels will be up & dow anyways as you've just had the baby (Congratulations btw) Home pregnancy tests usually arnt that concise until your around 6 weeks pregnant. Personally, I'd go to the doc as their more accurate than home testing & due to yourcircumstances, you need that accuracy!! Good luck..

Go to the Doctor to check your HCG levels. You may have hormones still in your system from your pregnancy. They'll know after a series of HCG tests. If your hormones are going up it is likely you are pregnant again. If they are going down it's left over from the last pregnancy. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks and it took nearly 2 months for the hormones to go back to normal. I don't know what the timeframe is after a full term pregnancy.

take another test in a couple of days. if you are pregnant, congratulations. I got pregnant 10 weeks after having my first, having two so close together is very hard work but also very rewarding, you get the nappy stuff out of the way quickly, they will always be good friends due to their closeness in age and give you plenty to smile about.

I would call your dr and get a blood test. You can show a "false posotive" result for up to 3 months after delivery since your body still produces the pregnancy hormone. Let me give you an example.
My hubby and I gave birth 7 weeks ago on Saturday. I had a left over pregnancy test so decided to take it for fun and test this theory. It came up positive. Funny thing is my hubby and I haven't had sex since before the birth. But I would be careful since it is VERRY easy to get pregnant again after having a baby so soon.

You are at your most fertile within a year of having a baby and just 9-weeks after having your baby you will be really very fertile, i have a 9-month-old daughter and i'm 11-weeks pregnant, i only actually done it twice the month i got pregnant and was really shocked (but very happy) to find i was pregnant again!

it's very likely your pregnant but i'd take another test to be sure, use the first urine of the day and your result will be more accurate, false negatives are far more common than false positives!!!

congrats if you are pregnant! your babies will both be the same age for a month each year!!!! :-)

You could be pregnant. Testing with first morning urine makes for more concentrated urine. So, the morning test could be correct, and in the afternoon your urine was not as concentrated so it came up negative. I would say wait two days and test again with first morning urine.

Good luck and congrats on the new baby!
