Who else agrees that Ichiro is a surefire Hall-Of-Famer, and he should be in heavy contention for the AL MVP this season. So far this season he has 185 hits! That's right a major league leading 185 hits! There is more than 1 month left in the regular season, and he almost surely will have 200 hits this season. He has a MIND-BLOWING average of .352. He's played in all of the Mariners' games this year, and he has 36 stolen bases this year. He has only been caught stealing twice. He only has a 10.11% chance of striking out every time he comes to bat. He also has an OBP of .379! I think he is a legitimate candidate for AL MVP and he is a First-Ballot Hall-Of-Famer. What are your thoughts?

Ichiro should definitely be in the Hall Of Fame!
He hit a inside the park hr the day of the all-star game. I'm a mets fan and I would trade shawn green, billy wagner, aaron heilman, guireloo mota, and carlos delgado just for Ichiro!!!!!
There should be an award for Ichiro!

It's wayyyyyy to early to be talking HOF with Ichiro. I don't think he can compete with Alex Rodriguez and Magglio Ordonez for the AL MVP. The votes usually go to HR and RBI rather than just hits and average...

He's a great player, but not the best by far.

Hall of Famer, yes. I don't know about being a heavy contender for the MVP, although he will get some votes. The voting will probably be dominated by A-Rod, Magglio Ordonez, and Vladimir Guerrero.

Of course he's a surefire Hall of Famer. And of COURSE he should be considered for the MVP. What else can I say? GO GO ICHIRO!

If any player belongs in the Baseball Hall of Fame, it is Ichiro. He can do anything. It is a joy to watch him steal a base. His fielding is outstanding. He is one of the best players ever for the Mariners.
