I'll be on vacation to Kyoto Japan this october. i have no clue what type of outfit to wear there coz i'm not sure the season & the temperature will be at that time.Pls help.

october is fall in japan.
you need long sleeves shirt and jacket just in case.
not sooo cold but you need jacket at night.

It should be very pleasant and warm in Kyoto in October. I agree with the layering idea -- just a light jacket over a t-shirt should do you. I would add, get an umbrella. They are cheap over here, and you can even get a 500 yen one at the airport or maybe even the train station. (Probably NOT the department store -- they will run a lot more.) They say in Japan "fall weather is like a woman's heart" (yeah, right!), but the weather can be changeable.

Kyoto's best parts are quite hilly, so take a knapsack to stash some water and also your jacket when you get too hot.

Since you are there for vacation, jeans should be fine. You may even get by with shorts, if you are very hardy, but jeans will look nicer.

It will be a pleasant fall. Kyoto has 4 distinct seasons. I would wear jeans, and bring a sweatshirt or hoodie so you can adjust if you get cold. Enjoy-- its a beautiful place!
