I have heard of remedies such as 'The Pliers and Duct Tape Cure' and "The Clorox and Ben Gay Alternative' Can anyone else help me with my sweaty, itchy package of beef?

Gold Bond works great. Also there are several specialty creams available. Last resort would be a prescription from a doctor. Jock itch is not much different than a diaper rash on a baby. Wash yourself thoroughly after every practice, keep your jock clean, use a baby powder as needed to keep the area dry and you'll avoid it all together.

.Jock itch is caused by fungus (same kind as ringworm and athletes foot). First try over the counter medications. If they don't work, you will need something stronger, which means a visit to your doctor for a prescription treatment

Either get baby powder to keep the area dry... or go to a pharmacy and pick up some anti-fungal cream. Atheletes foot and jock itch are basically the same thing, so get cream that will cure either.

You can clear it up real quick with anti-fungal cream...

Yes, and it doesn't take long. After showering, of course, apply the same cream that you would use for athlete's foot. You can use the less expensive store brand by the way. This works for me every single time without fail. Three bucks at your local store.
The same fungus caused both, so this is effective. If you are extra sweaty, change your underwear during the day once.
