I don't know really why they don't go back. They are thinking of going to Mars, i think that before going to Mars they should go back to the moon and try to build something there just to see how feasible it is.
You need to learn to crawl before walking ya know, i think the moon should be the first step before going to Mars.

Going to the Moon is very expensive, and NASA is funded by the US taxpayer. If the US taxpayer doesn't see a benefit in going to the Moon they complain about their tax dollars being spent on it. Just look at the number of people on Yahoo! Answers who ask every few days about the 'waste' of money on space programs. If the congressman knows the voters don't want their money being spent on going to the Moon, he won't approve it because he wants to get re-elected. NASA therefore gets less money and can't afford to go to the Moon any more. That is precisely what happened at the end of Apollo. The budget for Apollo was being cut down before the first manned Apollo flight even lifted off the pad!
Now NASa is plannig to go back again, with flights planned for around 2020. Hopefully the next administration won't cancel it.
As to NASA blurring photos, this is simply untrue. Images do exist with blurred areas on them, but that is not proof that NASA blurred them. Lots of problems can result in losses of sections of digital images, especially digital images taken 250,000 miles away and transmitted back via radio. The claim also overlooks the fact that images overlap, and in most cases the blurred region can be seen unblurred in another. In addition, why publish the pictures at all if they want to hide things?
And the astronauts did not see anything on the Moon beyond what they expected to see: rock and dust.

firstly, I would like to say that NASA would not blur out pictures of the most phenomenal achievement of man to date, adn as far as seeing things on the moon... of course they saw things on the moon dingus. there are rocks everywhere! no seriously, there can't be aliens on the moon, because the moon has no atmosphere. NOTHING would be able to survive in the absence of atmospheric pressure.
NASA hasn't gone back to the moon because there isn't a reason to. there is no atmosphere (as said above) no water, no minerals like salt, graphite, and copper, no precious metals like gold and silver, and no life. the only thing on the moon is rocks. we have plenty of rocks. go to the woods, find a rock. also, the reason we haven't colonized the moon, is because it would be insanely expensive. unless you are going to take 4 pieces of wood and some shingles for a tool shed (in which case it would be useless, seeing as it would be impossible for tools to rust due to lack of water), it would take so much fuel to take all the materials to the moon to make something that would also keep in the air.
also, we have truly been on the moon. in the lunar landing video, they show how fine the moon dust is. anything that fine that got moved around on earth would billow up around where it was disturbed. due to lack of atmosphere on the moon, the fine dust did not billow up, instead it fell in a perfect parabolic arch, characteristic of a vacuum. this was in 1969, and we dont even have the technology TODAY to make an entire STUDIO ROOM with complete vacuum.

Um... they are. Scheduled for 2020. It's why they're in the process of creating the LSAM (Lunar Surface Acquisition Module), and Orion.
But I think you're wrong about the blurring of pictures, and yes, astronauts saw LOTS of stuff on the moon.

Because congress won't give them the money to do it.
NASA is not blurring out pictures before they go on satellite images and the astronauts did see lots of things on the Moon, like craters, mountains and rocks. And they took pictures of all of it and you can see the pictures on web sites like the source below.

I agree. I wish they'd go back from where they came. Who needs those moon people? (I like the way you spelled 'astranauts'. Cool.)

They faked it the first time!
It'd cost too much to fake it a second time! ;-)
