Well it could be used as both so it is abit feminine, but it also has such a beautiful feel to the name. I can see him now. Curly longish hair, sporty, gorgeous teeth, smiling, loving while he holds out his hand to you and says "mom let me take you out and spoil you" and he rushes you off to a great restaurant to which he hands you an envelope and in it is two tickets to an exotic location and he says "lets go away Mom and really bond and connect, I am grown now and soon will be married with a wife of my own, and i want to show my appreciation of all that you have done". And you smile and say thank you Keegan River you are a wonderful son..sigh..yes I like it alot :-)

I do not think either name is feminine. But I do love the name Keegan (I have a 3 month old son named Kegan) :) I'm not to fond of the name River but if that's what you like then go for it.

I think the combination of Keegan and River is a little less than masculine. Not necessary. feminine...but not wreaking of masculinity. But you probably weren't going for that or you would have picked a name like Hulk, or Bob.
My father still makes fun of my son's name, you have to decide if you like enough to make up for some people being dumb.
By the way, my son's name is : Jackson Harvey Craft

No.. it's not too feminine. I think it's adorable.. but I love the name Keegan for a boy.. I think it's balanced out nicely because of the middle name being River.

No, I like that name! Keegan is a boy's name, and I've never heard of a girl named River either.
Tell your brother to have his own baby if he wants to name one!

I know a boy named Keegan and a girl named Keegan so I guess it is unisex. In this day and age though, names are much more unique so I think it is fine.

I've never heard of a girl named Keegan before...and I dig the name. Of course, I also like Irish names lol. Maybe your brother's comment will bite him in the behind and your son will be one of those few children that ends up in the NFL/NHL or other 'man' sports :)
