As has been stated many times, you are not allowed to gamble, but you will be able to pass through the casino floor. As for alcohol, you are not allowed to drink or even hold an open container.
For drinking, you will be slapped with a fine (probably about $100). You may be warned before you are fined. For gambling, you will be ordered to leave. If you made any money, you will have to give back you winnings. If you lose any money, you will NOT be given a refund.
But, many underage Americans figure out ways to not get caught. You can always drink in your room. However, if you get obnoxiously drunk, you can expect to get in trouble. If you are going to drink in a club or bar, you need to look and act mature. I have bartended at nightclubs and you can often tell who are the underage people by the fact that they act like they are doing something wrong. With you being from a country that is not so uptight about alcohol, this will probably be no problem for you.
If you are going to gamble, do not play any game where you might hit a big jackpot (they often need to see ID before paying out a large sum ($500-$1,200+).
This is how it is throughout the country. Different municipalities are more stringent than others.

You must be 21 to gamble at any casino. You cannot loiter in the gambling areas if you're underage, but you can hang around the shopping areas, restaurants and such. Underage drinking is also illegal. I think it's also 21, check the websites below to be sure. You and any one buying an alcoholic drink for you can get into trouble for breaking the law. Do be careful and enjoy Las Vegas! Hope this helps.

You can walk thru the casino, but can not stop in any of the gaming areas, and forget about playing. The casinos reserve the right to ask for ID from anyone at any time on their premises - and they do it.
It is a felony for someone over the age of 21 to purchase or give alcoholic drinks to someone under the age of 21. So, it's NOT ok.

1. you can probably go into a casino, but not into the gaming area
2. in the U.S, it is illegal to buy alcohol for underage people (less than 21yr olds). However, you might be able to get away with it if you are going with someone over 21.
If you are 19 and you want to do both of these things, you should've gone to Montreal. They have a casino and you only have to be 19 to drink and gamble legally.

Please visit. there is so much more than Gambling. The casinos themselves are amazing spactacles. The first time I visited I had MORE fun Walking up the Boulevard and taking pictures than any of the gambling I did. Bring a camera. Make sure to see the Bellagio fountain show. The water 'dances' to music. When I first saw it it 'danced' to start spreadin' the news' by Frank Sinatra and "working 9 to 5" by Dolly Parton . There a plethora of free shows. tour the Casinos, the boulevard, and catch as many of the free shows as you can and you too will be amazed at how much fun you will have. Have a ball.

If you are not 21, you can't gamble, you can't go to the dance clubs, you can't drink. I recommend you get a fake id or a friend's id who looks like you who is 21 or older so you can enjoy the best that Vegas has to offer. Vegas is aimed completely for the 21 and over crowd. Buying a drink for a minor is against the law, but if you decide to do it, be very careful!

Vegas is pretty strict about underage. All the casinos have a path cutting threw them , if your under the age of 21 you can not step off of it. Security walks around and ids anyone they think looks underage. So,yes your able to walk threw the casinos because they all have so many things to do besides gambling but you can not gamble or even sit near someone who is gambling. Any bars, clubs or restaurants will ID but on the strip your able to walk around with open containers. Just don't get caught.

You will not be able to gamble, or be in gambling areas. Passing through is fine.
You will not be able to drink. It is against the law to buy alcohol for anyone under 21. If you do have someone buy you alcohol, stay inside, its a hefty consequence to get caught doing so!!!!!

You won't be able to gamble, sorry. But for the drinking part...you'll have to do it in your room. It's still illegal, but you won't get caught. If you want to leave, just pour it into a plastic soda cup. As then as your not stumbling around, nobody will know.

No real restrictions on entering the casinos. You'll be old enough to gameble I think.
And you will not be able to buy (alcoholic) drinks until you're 21
