this is my 1st preg im worried about giving birth i am very squimish i dont like the sound of after birth did anyone really see it?

I've had three babies and never saw my afterbirth. I was either looking at my baby or had my eyes shut, depending on the birth.

No you don't really see it. Unless you make a point of looking down and all. I was to excited about seeing the baby to worry about anything else. You will be, too.

They don't show it to you unless you ask to see it. You are so involved in your new baby that is in your arms that you don't really notice the removal of the afterbirth.

you really have nothing to worry about sweaty, because i guarantee you that you'll be in so much pain you won't have time to hear or maybe even see it so just relax and enjoy bringing that precious life into the world. good luck. i would appreciate it if i could hear from you after you've given birth. I only seen it once, because my hubby took pictures of it in the bowl on the cart. The dr did not show it to me. I think it looks gross.

I saw the afterbirth on TLC's "A baby story"....its gross looking....lol...I would like to see it in real life...just to see it...I couldn't imagine keeping it and eating itlater on...lol...thats gross!

Don't worry about the squeamish stuff. You won't see anything but your baby.

I had them take a picture because I wanted to know what it looked like! Can you believe they eat it in other countries!?

No you dont see it unless you want to.....I didnt see it I was to concerned with holding my new bundle of joy...but i'm sure they will show it to you if you would like.....
