Rab'ia is not my surname , (though it begins with R and is Arabic) i was thinking of calling baby Layla Rab'ia all one name, its pronounced Ra-bia, you pause after the ra part!

I think layla evens out the writing of the name, if it makes sense, the "y" balances it out. It would make for a nicer signature. There might be probs pronouncing leila, although I do like the spelling. I also like the spelling of Layla

I Have A Arabic Name To But Spelt Differently Laila Is A Good Name Just Remeber Give A Good Arabic Name That Will Suit Her At The Age Of 5 , 10, 25 Even 90! You Dont Want To Give A (for example with an english name) Name Billy FOr A Boy Cos Billy Is For Younger Kids If It Was Bill Then Its Much Better.
Think Of Other Names Like
Yes Laila
Zaynab
Rabia
Sabah
Amina
And Also You Can Go To Some Book Shops You May Find Them And Its A Green Book And Its Says Arabic Names I Dont No Who Wrote It But Its Good Because Its Gives The Name (Obviously) The Meaning And The Way In Saying Its Its Also Spelt In The Book In English And Arabic
Well I hope I Have Helped Good Luck With The Name
!

Leila is beautiful and i prefer that spelling, i have and always will pronounce it Lay-la, maybe you could spell it Layla and then there would be no confusion! Ra'bia is very different and pretty, i think you've chosen well!!!

Layla is very pretty. Not fond of Ra'bia (sounds like Rabies to me), but if it is from your culture & means something special to you, then hey, that's your call.
I believe Leila is pronounced like Layla.

Not sure how to pronounce the second name but I like the spelling layla best.
Leila becomes Lee-lah but I think lay-lah sounds better
