Yes it is bad. Leaving a tampon in longer than 8 hours increases your risk of TSS.

It takes 5 seconds to change a tampon. Why won't you change it? I assume that you don't go all day without peeing, why not just change it when you are in the bathroom?

You should never leave a tampon in for more than eight hours. It puts you at a risk for TSS. Use the lowest absorbency possible and try to change it every 4-6 hours.

Yes, it is not a good thing. You need to change much more often. You can get a bacterial infection which is very dangerous called "toxic shock syndrome". Read about it on the web. Take care of your body and change your tampons often. It doesn't take very long to change a tampon and it could be a risk to your health if you don't. Besides that, it is much more sanitary.

well yes... you are risking getting TSS and when I leave a tampon in for too long, I bleed all over the place... I suggest changing a tampon every 3-4 hours... and if you're quick at changing them, its really not that bad putting in a new tampon in a public place

It says on the box you should change every 4-6 hours, I think. There's a REASON for that. Why don't you just change your tampon each time you go to the bathroom?

Yes it is. I change my tampon at least 3 times a day. one in the morning, one near lunch time, and one at night. You should NEVER leave a tampon in for more than 8 hours. And even that is a long time to leave it in. You dont want TTS, its a very serious diesease that could even kill you if you left it untreated!

Tampons should be used fo a maximum of 8 hours, depending on flow. I personally would say its a little more hygienic to change it more often, particularly if you are doing exercise.

yes, you are not supposed to leave it in longer then 8 hours. typically, the shorter the time you keep it in, the better, and the less risk of infection. >L
