if she has an agreement with a debt management company to pay them and then they pay who the debt is owed too, then the debt collector is acting illegal as they are not allowed to contact the debtor (your friend).

The debt collector is trying to get more money out of your friend. They are violating the law. She should pay them nothing.

nicely, those are pounds, so I discern your united states will in basic terms take up it and pass on. right here interior the U. S. however, we get charged around a 35$ late fee, a 35$ fee for them having to deliver you a value word, you get debt sequence demands the the remainder of your existence at abode and at paintings, the as quickly as a year share fee is bigger to exhorbitant quantities making it thoroughly impossible to pay decrease back, and we could in actuality be reducing our very own wrists. Then, whilst certainly one of those great style of folk cant pay those funds owed decrease back, by way of unscrupulous and predatory means with which the unique settlement between borrower and lender is "replaced", the government will bail out the creditors, and our credit FICO score is ruined, as a effect no company will hire you, no financial company will ever lend to you, and you'd be homeless. Thats what the yankee Dream is all approximately anymore. BTW, save cutting-edge. DONT permit that 3 hundred pounds pass unpaid.

A debt management company is not going to take their money and pay payments for a deadbeat. That's just stupid. The debt management company will schedule workable payments for her to make to them and they make them to the creditors.
I sure would like to get someone to make my house payments for me.....Wanna buy a bridge?

Sorry Paul s and wilf you are not protected from creditors in a dmp. Only an iva or bankrupcy gives you creditor protection. Creditors can change their mind at any time in a dmp and decide they want full payment. I would speak to the dmp company and ask them to try to deal with it. A dmp is an informal arrangement it is not binding in any way it just allows lesser payments to be made at an agreed amount and is arranged by a third party on your behalf , and they usually take a percentage of each monthly payment, though cab and cccs do not charge.

IF YOUR FRIEND HAS AN AGREEMENT WITH A DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY, HER CARDS ON THAT PROGRAM SHOULD HAVE SENT HER PAPERWORK AGREEING WITH THE DEBT COMPANY AS FAR AS PAYMENTS. IF THEY KEEP CALLING HER SHE NEEDS TO CONTACT THE DEBT COMPANY TO PUT A STOP TO THE CALLS.
