Realize that you cannot change anyone's behavior, you can only change how you react to it. You choose how to respond to anger, confrontation, fear, etc. Getting frustrated over how someone else acts is a waste of time. If it's that bad, just extricate yourself from them.

All year long the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter, while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. But then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns. And also, he got a racecar.

Help others where you can and be positive. Best advice I ever got was a quote in a book. "Treat every person as your teacher." I have tried to follow that idea and it has taken me from nothing to where I am today.
