You are now witnessing my productivity in the work place. Hold on, time for a cigarette break.

I work better with deadlines and a little time pressure. If I don't have to get anything done by a certain time, I'm not as productive. I work part-time and I goof off probably 1/3rd of the time I'm "at work" however since I own the company, I don't feel too darn guilty! LOL When I worked for others I goofed off less, because I take pride in doing a job well, efficiently etc.

i work 4 days a week, 10 hours per day. i believe all those 40 hours are really productive because my job as a travel agent won't just allow me to. i receive calls one after the other and if each and every call isn't treated well, it will come back until the customer has been satisfied.

Well let me do the math:
42.50 hours per week
- 5.5 hours for lunches
- 20 hours for goofing off on computer
- 1 hour for personal calls
I'd say probably about 16 hours.. ;)
Now I feel like I should get back to work..

I only get about 18-20 hours working, and I spend, oh, 12-13 actually working. Our boss does a regular check to see if we're on task.

It depends...some weeks I'm busier than others. If I'm not busy I help others though. I'm very efficient and get my work done fast so I have a lot of spare time. I have asked for more of a workload but some people don't want to give up what they do due to job security I guess...fools....

by productive do you mean my work is completed on time and to a high standard? then my answer would be all 40 hours.
just b/c I'm getting up to get coffee 10x a day or answering your question, checking email, what's the update on the Mets game, etc doesn't mean my work isn't getting done.
