Never going to happen. They mirror the Royals. They are a player development ground. Once players are proven they move on.

They could look good for the future. They got a lot of good prospects in the trades they made at the deadline (Gabbard, Saltalamacchia, etc.) I don't see them winning in the playoffs for at least 5 years, though.

Their pitching hasn't been good, and they sometimes lack in the offensive department (except for their thirty-run outburst a couple nights ago).

Tough question- to go to the playoffs I am optimistic and I think it will be a season or two- Now to win is a different story- I have no idea - that could be a long time from now

One word - pitching. You can't win in the playoffs without pitching and the Rangers are jinxed when it comes to pitching.

Once we get pitching and when Young stops missing easy balls. We need Hammering Hank back! I say 4-5 years...though 2009 would be nice!
