I have had five kids, and I only really had it with one..I washed everything in the house! Blankets, pillows, etc...It was not until the next day when I did go into labor that I realized why I had done that!

With my first I started "nesting" around the 7th month of my pregnancy. I cleaned everything....everywhere from floor to ceiling. I got everything ready and set up for my baby about that early too. With my second and third children I did not begin nesting so early. Maybe at the very begining of my 9th month.

I nested the whole pregnancy. Some day's were worse than others! Towards the end though I had this compulsion of sorting and re-sorting the babies clothes and things and then scrubbing and re-organising cupboards and closets. My kitchen, linen cupboard my and closet were the worst hit!
It so much fun though! Take advantage of the feeling to clean as it will soon disappear when baby is born!

I had an uncontrollable urge to clean my house. I had to do everything-- clean toilets, refrigerator, cabinets, stock up on toilet paper and Kleenex, scrub the floors spotless with a toothbrush, organize cabinets and closets, refold the already refolded baby clothes I had just put away... and I did it all will crying and being overly dramatic. I did this for almost an entire month before I went into labor. I thought I was going insane.

My wife was cleaning everyday b4 giving birth. I thought this was unusual since she cleaned the house every 2 wks. It was like she was getting the nest ready like a bird would.

Yes, i don't believe my house had ever been so clean. I scrubed every day, it was ridiculous, lol. I did it a few weeks before I had my son. I wonder if nesting can start even earlier.

Yes, I went into nesting about 2 weeks before my daughter was born, but then family came down and my house became a cluttered mess(well to me it was), and my momma in law refused to let me clean anything and she insisted on doing it all. I thought I was going to go nuts. lol..

I did with my first. I actually changed my whole bedroom around at 3 am. I went into labor two days later. I had no clue then what it was and why.
