No - I think money can make people happy - that is, the things you can buy with money and the good you can do with it.

I grew up poor and miserable. Now I have money and I'm MUCH happier. Money can buy you the opportunities to be happy, the adventure, the experience. Money can buy you the education to appreciate things a fool could never understand. Money can buy you the security to know when and where your next meal is coming from, a roof over your head, transportation, and you'll never have to worry about not being able to pay for a doctor or a dentist, as long as you have the cash.
Money can, absolutely, buy happiness.

Not at all. Without money or some other means of trade what is there. Starvation and death that is what.

It may not be that severe but without money of some kind life is not very good at all.

You can be happy only for a short time without the money. Very short time.

Sometime money can buy happiness (e.g. when you buy a good shirt you like) but not always! There are many unhappy people who are richer than many of us here.
