There are several legitimate e-book publishers out there that you can look into.

But the process of writing an e-book is no different than writing a book for print publication. Write the story you have to tell, write it to the best of your ability, and find the agent or publisher most suited to the story.

It can be easier to get books published as an e-book. Most e-publishers will take unsolicited submissions, which a lot of print publishers don't any longer.

If you decide to write a romance novel and want to publish as an e-book, take a look at Cerridwen Press. They do some other genres, as well, but romance is their biggest area. They published my book this past May, and I've been mostly pleased with the process.

On the other hand, print books still sell a lot better than e-books, except in certain genres. Erotic romance is one of these. So unless you're writing in one of these genres, I'd think seriously about print publishing first. Unless you don't care much about sales and just want to have something out there.

Competition to have your ebook read is daunting. There are a lot of good books in print, and yes some awful books as well, to take an ebook too seriously to sit down and read it. Anyone with a computer and internet hookup could write an ebook only a top notch pro could have his/her book published by Random House. Unless you are a star writer. Then I would consider buying an ebook. I know Stephen King tried this and failed. Yet that was several years ago. The time, today, might be right for a well known writer to self publish an ebook.

I wouldn't want to read an ebook. I like the feel of a regular book and I like to relax in the bathtub when I read.

I've bought 2 ebooks so far, both from Rosa Romance... There is a niche for any of those three genres... good luck!

one that has all three!!!
sometimes suspense books just have me flipping through them real fast and not really reading because I want to get to the end, romance can be sweet if not overdone, and horror is great if it has a well thought out plot.
