i am looking at buying a pc monitor from chine - a benq. I have heard the format is different. All of the output wires are the same as in uk. will it work?

There should be no problem with the video.

You might want to check that it has a universal voltage power supply, but nearly all monitors do these days.

You will definitely need to change the power cord. Or get an adapter. Both are freely available.

take the flat screen monitor to a pc shop near your area and tell them if it is safe to use it in UK.

Yer you can use it

But be cautious about the mains power

it should match your local specifications, or you will need some adapter to match .

in some countaries main is 220 volts AC and in some 110V

check the power supply voltage and if it is the same yes, if not buy a adapter for 20.00 to change to the correct voltage

if the wires are the same it should work,
their TV's are differant they dont work on PAL or whatever ours is.
