I love so many books. Lord of the Rings by Tolkein, Dune by Frank Herbert, Shattered Chain by Marion Zimmer Bradley and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams.

Those are my top four.

I absolutly love Harry Potter! Every last one of those books were great! I'm actually going to miss going to the bookstore to get it on the night it's released. That was my favorite summer reading material for the last 7 years! I gew up with Harry! I really did. I use to want to go to Hogwarts when I read the first book at the age of 10! (11 is the age you can go) So I hoped I would like get a letter and a owl would bring it. lol I know, weird kid wasn't I? lol

I'll narrow it down to my absolute favs:

White Oleander, Rapture of Cannan, Why Girls are Weird, Cirque du Freak, Harry Potter, and The Vampire Chronicles.

Why? those are ALL just so amazing. I really relate with the first two I mentioned. The last 3 are my favorite book series.
But I love all of them!
(of course you already know why HP is so good! I recomend Vampire Chronicles and Cirque du Freak if you havent already read them! The first three are a bit...adult...But if you can handle them, then read it)

The Caine Mutiny, by Herman Wouk. A "coming of age" story during WWII about a Navy ensign, overly mothered, in love with a show girl, stationed on a minesweeper with a variety of officers and crew. It is both poignant and funny, often exciting. Wouk deleted all the scatologic expletives. I don't know how this book missed Time's 100 best books of the 20th century.

The Stand by Stephen King. Its a classic tale of good versus evil set in modern times. The good being Mother Abigail and her flock in Boulder Colorado and the bad in the Walking Dude with his cronies in Las Vegas Nevada. Great ending.

The Catcher In the Rye. Wow. It's an amazing book. True American Literature.
It gets deeper than most people would think, and I think there are more metaphorical meanings than people see. Like Holden Caulfield wants to be the catcher in the rye? I think it means he wants to help people and not let them fall and die.

By the way, what does happen to the ducks in the winter?

I LOVED the entire Outlander series. I've read it all the way thru twice and a few of the books more than once. It just sucks me into their world. Best books ever out of the hundreds that I've read.

My favorite book which I have read multiple times is Jane Eyre. Why? Because it is a great piece of literature with many themes that I can relate to.
