I think it is closer than ever. People are getting upset and I'm sure that if there is another war or an attack then a revolution can happen. We are so close to it that all the public needs is a little push. Then again the government is always one step ahead of us. Bush and his cronies are already prepared for a revolution and they know it is a big possibility if they do anymore ****. Look at the Martial Law Act that was recently passed (there are plenty more like that passed)...they know what to do. If there even was a revolution, odds are that it would not get big enough (people are lazy) and it would be crushed. We also need more organization (as anarchists)...

Even though there are people around the globe disappointed with their governments, there are far too many people with too much invested in the status quo to gain popular support for the anarchist platform...
Possible, but highly unlikely.
For interesting research into one of the largest and most successful anarchist movements, read about the Spanish anarchists before and during the Spanish Civil War:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_anarchists
I know that source is wikipedia, but it does give you an idea of what happened.

Of course it is. We as a society have just become complacent and wanting a quick fix... when that does not happen with this type of change. Check out the link below factual proof of change in this day and age.
But if you want to believe it is all mindless violence: check out the wikipedia link.
The sad thing with Anarchism is that is is like a Phoenix(fire bird) once it raises to full glory it must die to start anew because that is its nature (if this makes no sense to anyone I apologize now).

the biggest problem is that anyone with enough power to assemble the masses for a revolution would want to maintian that power somehow and not surrnder it (Needed for Anarchy).. without a fundemental change to the human condition... (ie...supply of goods so abundant we dont need private property) ... it wont happen.
It would have to be a peaceful revolution where the mass demanded to governing body because it really isnt needed.

Nope, mainly because, almost by definition, anarchists are too disorganized to coordinate something as complex as an actual revolution. They're much better at breaking windows and running away with TV sets.

No. People expect too much from the government and would not know how to handle themselves if they did not have someone to blame for all of their problems.

And the point would be? More Starbucks' windows shattered? More McDonalds' trash cans overturned?
On the bright side, at least bathing facilities would not be necessary.
