The perfect pizza is the one that is sitting in front of me, about to go into my mouth. It is not overwhelmingly cheesy, too spicy to enjoy, and just messy enough to cause me to change my shirt after I get done eating. I love all kinds of pizzas although I am not especially fond of the carnivore's proof that their last hunt was successful. I love Hawaiian Pizza, even though purists will tell you it is a candy pizza and the first time I went to Hawaii, they had never heard of it. I love the sun dried tomatoes, avocados, artichoke hearts, and both kinds of olives pizza, even though I sincerely believe that there is no intrinsic moral superiority in hunting down and killing poor defenseless vegetables. I am a happy omnivore and will eat anything you put in front of me, as long as it is piled on top of a semolina frisbee! I love the Pepperoni, I love the big onion chunks, I love the peppers, and I even tolerate the humble anchovies. As I sit here this morning and contemplate this subject over my meager portion of prune yogurt (not as awful as it must sound to some of you) I think back to the good old days (when I was neither old nor good) and remember pizza breakfasts of long ago. I treasure my mental storehouse of pizza lunches, pizza suppers, and late night pizza snacks. Sure, there were lapses where I enjoyed brief flirtations with taco salads and burrito supremes. I have tasted the Philly Cheese Steak and enjoyed it. But everyone must pursue variety, if only to make the return to pizza that much more fulfilling. There is only one occasion where pizza is not the perfect accompaniment, and that is my birthday. My birthday cake MUST be Lasagna. It is a tradition and must never be ignored. Lasagna is, after all, a superb pizza casserole and may be served with or without pizza as a side!

First of all, it has to be made in Chicago. I have had far too many pizzas in other parts of the country where they don't realize that pizza must include garlic.
One choice: A thick-crusted, Chicago-style pizza with classic toppings of well-made sauce, seasoned with garlic and fresh herbs, preferably basil, plus mozarella, garlic, onions, sausage.
The BEST pizza I have ever had comes from a place called Chicago Pizzaria, with only a few outlets on the North Side of that great city.
It is called Shrimp and Pesto pizza.
If I could have it shipped here, I would.
If you're in Chicago, get some, today, for lunch.
No, I don't work for them.

Have a great Friday!
For me a perfect pizza needs a thin but strong crust and the best tomato sauce. (Probably it does have garlic!) There is one restaurant her that makes better tomato sauce than anywhere. It's their secret.
Next, I like a lot of veggies, mushrooms and onions, pepperoni and extra cheese.
Another pizza which can be amazing is a Hawaiian type pizza, topped with baked ham and pineapple.

Perfect pizza: Four cheeses: mozzarella, Parmesan, asiago, Romano red sauce, or better, slices of plum tomato so thin you can read thru them Artichokes spinach capers black olive slices or bits and if there must be a meat, let it be a mild Italian sausage with a hint of fennel and rosemary On a cracker thin (New York style) crust Served piping HOT! Thank you very much.

It would be all crust well done with alot of sauce and some cheese. There wouldn't be a bottom on the pizza. it would be half. that's the perfect pizza for me. I know i am weird i usually rip the bottoms off sometimes. i like a little left and alot of crispy crust.

My perfect pizza can be either round or square. It will come with cheesey breadsticks and either antipasto salad or Greek salad.
I love pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage, olives, onions, green peppers and fresh tomatoes and basil on it.
Give me an A&W Root Beer and I'm all set!!

Here there is a pizza place that has been around for sometimes now! Called "Pasquale's" !!!
I've been going here ever since my high school days from 70-74. It's where I cut my first "Donut". [ see link below "Donut"]
Any how- they've got a pizza - called "Bigga Pizza"..
15'' With everything - minus anchovies & pineapples.
After one of these "Now" - I'm needing a long rest period.

mmmmm very cheesy, medium crust (soft), lots of sauce and maybe even some cheese in the crust from time to time. I can take or leave the meat most of the time. But, I do love a good bacon pizza. Can I please have bread sticks too? Thanks for the question. But, now I want pizza. =-)
