Sasuke.
Naruto never had a family, so although he whishes he had one, and feels lonely, that is very different from having your whole family murdered by your own brother. It's easier to have no one expecting nothing from you, than to live under someone's shadow and have everyone expecting that you'll live up to your clan.
Naruto had reasons to be angry because he was being discriminated agains without knowing why, but Sasuke was angry because of something he saw, because of a crime he was not able to stop.
Sasuke saw his innocence being ripped apart from him, whereas Naruto never lost his. That, for me, is the main difference. Naruto's childhood didn't prevent him from being idealist and positive, and he can still hope to be loved and recognised by Konoha, which is his wish. Sasuke cannot un-murder his parents, he can only look for revenge.
Because of that, he is emotionally much more fragile than Naruto, in the way that he can be easily persuaded by somenone who promises to help him get his revenge.
Sasuke was destroyed by what happened to his family, Naruto still had hope, and that kept him whole.
At least, this is what I think.

I'd say Gaara had it worst because mostly everyone was afraid of him and then the one person he trusted betrayed him. After that he had to live with everybody hating and fearing him until he meets Naruto. Naruto just didn't have any friends, but he still had people to look out for him (like Sarutobi, as best he could being the Hokage and all). He had a goal to work toward, to become a great ninja and the hokage so everybody would acknowledge him. Gaara didn't have a goal like that or any support. Sasuke actually had the experience and knew what a loving family was like. After Itachi killed everybody, Sasuke was still liked and admired for his exceptional skills and talent.

Sasuke.
Naruto's parents DID die, and he grew up without them, but thing is, you can't take away something that wasn't there in the first place.
Yeah, Naruto didn't have friends as a child, but he didn't go through the "pleasure" of WATCHING his parents and friends get MURDERED.
Last I checked, that can do some REAL psychological damage to a kid, or ANYONE, in fact.

Sasuke!
he knew his family and grew up with them, and suddenly one day his parents were killed in front of him by his brother, so Sasuke has the worst, Sasuke lost what he loved in his life, at least Naruto didn't see his parents so it's not hard for him to ever loose them; he didn't have them!
Naruto used to be treated like that, and his teacher loved him, so it's ok for Naruto to handle all that :)
Sasuke did sure have a tough time, you dunno how does it feel when you lose someone you love!

Saskue as I can't think of anything worse than seeing your whole family's murdered bodies and then being told by your older brother that he did it and your not worth killing because your so weak. I know Naruto had a bad childhood being feared and shunned but at the same time he knew no different so he couldn't compare it to anything.
As humans we can often bare things that happen to us but when things happen to people we care about and then our noses are rubbed in it we tend to snap. I could have coped with Naruto's life but I know Sasuke's would have driven me insane.

on the one hand Naruto never had a family.
on the other Sasukes family was murdered by the brother he looked up to and never reached.
naruto had a hard childhood but sasuke managed not to become insane by making plans to kill his brother.
sasuke betrayed all his friends later on to get strong enough to kill Itachi, while narutos friendships grew on.
So I say Sasuke.

Naruto had a worse childhood because he never knew his parents. Sasuke, at least before Itachi slaughtered them, had parents and a home.

Atleast Sasuke had a childhood growing up , he knew his family.
Naruto growing up, didn't know or had any family. people hated or avoided him becuase they knew he had the kyubii inside him. No one was there for him, being alone like that from childhood is worst then people can imagine.
Also Naruto had to work hard for people to like him and harder to become a ninja, while sasuke had it all to easy, people liked instantly.
I guess I like the underdog of any story. =)
