The word "Inspite" is always followedby "of" whenever it is used as a replacement for the word "Despite".

ie, The words "despite" and "inspite of" are synonyms.

e-g: In spite of his poverty, the boy was honest.
Despite the fact that the boy was poor, he was honest.

The hindi equivalent for both these words is "kay Bhaavajoodh".

e-g: "Uskee thabeeyath kay bhaavajoodh, usne school gayaa".
