..joys...regrets?

In 6th grade, I was in a band called "The Hard Times."
I played tambourine, was lead singer, and wore a long sleeved orange turtle-neck shirt onstage with a gold medallion,
and lots of Hai Karate...or was it BRUT?...BRUT!!
All I can remember from our playlist is "Dirty Water", 'Little Bit O' Soul" and "Louie Louie".

The actual Hard Times hit when I was watching "Shindig"
and ANOTHER band appeared on the show calling themselves THE HARD TIMES..thus shattering our
grade school pipe dream...ahhh..me!

You bet. Played in several bands in HS and college, the most notable "The Sound Spectrum" and "The Little People". That was in the 60's. Played my first beer joint at 13. Most notable acheivement, played on a recording session with Wayne Carson who wrote "The Letter" and "Always On My Mind". The tune I worked on never got published. About 5 years ago a couple of my old mates and I got a new band started from meeting at our 35th HS reunion. We play parties, benefits, some restaurant and bar gigs. I quit for almost 30 years and I'll never quit again as long as I have hands and can draw breath. I play most styles of lead guitar, bass and some piano. Now at 57, it's the best therapy on earth. Oh yeah, now we are "Bob and the Bobcatz". We play rock, blues, jazz and some pop standards. Very ecclectic set list, great for wedding and private parties. One more trivia, I went to school with most of the Ozark Mountain Daredevils. "jackie Blue", Chicken Train, If ya Wanna Get to Heaven, you got ta raise a little hell!" peace

In the late 60s, the Midnight Stars, I was a back up singer.
I was with them for about 6 months, then 2 of the guys got drafted & both were killed in Viet Nam. End of band.

I was in the Mormon farmer band, "Seth Levi Sodbuster and the Haybales." I was one of the Haybales..My job WAS to
cart the haybales up on the stage, and arrange them, so young groupies...uh, fans, could have really good seats, then rush out to the front and collect the $2 cover charge, but get back in time for the third song, which featured my trash can lid drum solo.

No, I never played in a band. I played classical music on the piano on stage. Also sang for weddings. Always wanted to dance topless on a table top, though.

I was the lead singer in a rock band called Ireth. I married the drummer then I divorced him, met my husband, married again, had my babies and quit the band.
