You shouldn't have to prove to someone that you love them, the things that show them you love them are all things you do unconciously because of your feelings.
Holding their hand when you walk down the street, a kiss on the forehead when your just watching TV, gazing deep into their eyes and nodding to show you're listening to everything they are saying because it is important.
It all comes naturally.

Remember to say I love you, accept them the way they are, learn to give as well as take, meet them half way (sometimes even more ), treat them with respect and always think of their feelings whenever you say or do something.

Well if you want to show it then give them something really nice. Like flowers or go on a romantic date.

firstly tell them. no matter how stupid it makes you feel (which it shouldn't) communication is the key.
do something sontanioues (bad spelling) only for them. flowers, chocolates, if possible something unsual.
love is a battle field so fight for what you love. you won't keep it anyother way.

i tried to help that person, i did my best to make him happy like told him a jokes, i sang to him..etc. i made him beautiful poems, i wrote him letters.. i listened to him, i shared everything with him

if it's a friend then they probably know it, if it's a girl then you'll have to keep doing all the sleazy stuff, dinners, gifts, etc etc.
