its no wonder people are being killed, raped, tortured etc when you take a look at the movies and computer games out there today. Is it just me or are films like Hostel and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre just mindless violence. WHY make a film like that anyway?

These movies may seem shocking if you have been living under a rock for the past 20 years, the world is full of terrible things, get used to it.

The original T.C.M. was pretty gory, also, but it was WAY better than the remake! But in answer to your question, so called "mindless violence" in movies is often lots of fun to watch. Simply put.

those kinds of movies aren't for kids. their for adults who know right from wrong. if a parent does take their kids to see it, (which i don't agree with) then it's their responsibility to teach them that murder, rape, and torture are things that are terribly, terribly, wrong. It's people that say thing like, "well i saw it in a movie." that know they did something wrong and are trying to put them blame on something else, so they don't get in trouble. besides a lot of people like those kinds of movies, and know better then doing things like that. don't put the blame on something else just because you did something wrong.

That is so moral majority.
You can not blame entertainment for
people's actions.
It is the persons brain not the film.
Just look at the Bible it has all that you mentioned in it and they did not have movies back then.
