took a pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative. I keep on having the feeling that my period is going to come on because I know what it feels like but nothing yet! Anyone else been like this before? I do have sex w/ my husband and do not take the pill but we use condoms instead! I know they're not 100% safe but we've never had one that has failed us yet! Anyway, I don't feel sick or anything like that and I have recently just lost some weight through aerobics, so this might have delayed my period.. What do you think?

I don't want to keep on wasting money buying pregnancy tests when yesterday it came up as negative.

worrying about it can delay you period for a long period of time, as stress causes changes in your hormone balance

Well I would wait another 5-7 days and if you still don't have your period and don't want to buy another HPT then go to the doctor. He/she can test for pregnancy and if its still negative then at least your in the right spot to find out why you haven't got a period. The doctor is the best person to test and tell you whats going on.

Good luck

There is a first time for us all to miss our period!

Yes, you are very correct; losing weight and exercise can alter periods and their cycle slightly.
Don't worry about it this month, you may skip the period altogether or just 'readjust' the cycle a little.
However, if you begin to feel sick or begin to experience pregnancy symptoms or if you continue to skip periods, then either test again and/or go see a Dr.

Go to your local Heath office and get tested. No one but you has to know. Also, the older you get, the more outside (such as stress)things can influence you cycle.

Changes in habits can cause changes in your cycle. Just because it has never happened before doesn't mean that it never will.
