i don't accept help from people i don't like because i don't trust them...i usually don't even accept help from people i do like...i guess i have lived long enough to know if you count on others...they will disappoint you...but i don't insult or mock them...i think that is a different level...i guess i would need to know what those people have done to be mocked etc...perhapse the person is just lashing out verbally because they have been hurt

Seems to me that you trust the people you like and distrust the people you don't like.

We all have our reasons for disliking someone; whether it be an air of negativity, or an attitude or even a belief. Perhaps there's something within this person's character that you have picked up on that you don't like or trust.

Perhaps this person lacks sincerity to you and this is why you react the way you do to them trying to help.

You have a right to these feelings and trust is hard to come by. If you feel you can't trust a person, you are justified in your not wanting to accept anything from them.

Trust is key to any relationship. If you can't trust there really is no relationship.

Mocking people who are tying to help you is a mistake. You may need their help next week. and it will not help your reputation if you are in the business world.

maybe you reject help from people you don't like because you don't want to be around them, or you don't want to feel that you owe them anything.

well it means your trying to limit yourself to advice...take advice from all people but take it all with a "grain of salt" then make the decision on your own...however sometimes the best advise comes from those we trust least

sounds like trust issues to me..you don't trust the other person quite yet..but you shouldn't be hurtful to someone trying to help you...or let them know you value their friendship, but not their advice...some people do mean well, but let them know that their advice, isn't neccessary..
