Manila the capital of the Philippines is around 1600kms. north of the equator but the most southern tip of the islands is about 400kms north of the equator

On the map I'm holding, the middle three fingers of left hand
(once touching each other), exactly seperates distance between illustrated Equator and Philippines. Yup, I got it covered.

doesn't the equator run through the philippines. You need to be more specific i.e. which part of the country to which part of the equator. neither are points they are areas

I think Phillipines is located under 20 Degree North so it is not so far from Equator Line .
