I had posted this previously...but on the WRONG page...LOL
So I will try again.....

Which are you able to be in immediate controle of?
If reputation comes from outside oneself, why are so may concerened with 'reputation' rather than the 'charactor' which a person CAN BE in control of?

or....

Why do so many people walk around the world with a preverbial sign asking...."do you like me?" when that sign would be of better use placed on their mirror?

A question in Life I can't quiet put my finger on an answer too.

Your thoughts?

Peace and Love to all

Many years ago, I stood before my mirror and told the guy I saw that I didn't like him very much. He decided he'd try to win my respect, and after a time, managed to do just that. Now when I look in the mirror, I still see an old man, but I have respect and admiration for him. Not so much as to be blinded to his faults, but enough to overlook small imperfections. By doing this, I allow him to overlook imperfections in others, and it makes loving one's neighbor mean something more than slipping next door in the darkness. Respect of yourself will gain respect for others, and respect for others, will be returned by respect from others. This in turn, will lead to reputation, a good one instead of one to be ashamed of.

Well, people would like control. Since already having control within themselves, they strive for more. Considering the times when they might have not been liked, they decide that they can change themselves on the outside so that they aren't judged negatively.

But people are self-conscious for the reason of why people would judge so much.
