I think if they were used to evaluate teams by continent it would work. Like if you take out all but the European teams and look at the ranking, it makes sense. The problem is that FIFA gives the USA the same amount of points for beating trinidad in a qualifier as it give France for beating Italy last September.

i think of the score is over too short a era and characteristic too plenty weighting on friendlies. the only real degree is the vast confederations championships say Euro, Asian Cup etc and international Cup something is purely street soccer :-) national ameliorations in attitude to friendlies make too plenty distinction to scores. to illustrate Brazil beat a unfavorable group 4-nil on a similar time as Italy play the comparable group and take it uncomplicated after a purpose - substitute some gamers and then finally end up with a draw. the outcomes say extra approximately their methods than the group's skill.

FIFA rankings may not cofirm to to real situation. It is based on certain parmameters regarding quality of teams. It means the team just confirms to norms.
It is like there may be better products that does not carry 'CE" mark.Even among CE marked goods there may difference in quality.

I would love to see the formula they use to calculate the ranking because they always look like complete fiction. I'm sure there's a "who bought Sepp Blatter the best lunch" variable in there somewhere.

Who is US? I expect you are an England fan. Yes, they are accurate because England are poo. Although, I do understand that Mexico are judged on the games they play against teams in thier region who are no more decent than wycome wanderers.

Don't think they are 100% accurate.
think they should have one rankings table for when countries play meaningless friendlies against Faroe Islands and San Marino.
And then another one for competative matches in tournaments and qualfying matches.
