It's for PCI-express slots only. x16 is PCI-Express

Make sure your PSU is atleast 350Watts if you're building a game system. Some graphics card require 400Watts+ and a PCI-E power connector. However there are adapters for that, as long as your PSU has 2 free molex power connectors the adapter will work.

all pci-express cards come as a standard x16 bandwidth and will fit into a x16 pci-express slot
pci-express x1 slots are not designed for any graphic cards, they are used for modems and similar peripherals
while on the subject when you use a sli enabled motherboard(2 x pci-e cards) the older sli motherboards will downsize the pci-e graphic cards to a x8 bandwidth,so 2 x8bandwidth cards make x 16 bandwidth,in my opinion this defeats the object of using sli graphics as your getting the same bandwidth using two cards as you would when using a one x16 bandwidth pci-e card, however the latest motherboards now support two x16 bandwidth cards giving you a total x32 bandwidth using the two cards
also adam you cant physically insert a pci-express x16 card in a x1 slot,it just wont fit
any problems mate let me know
good luck adam!

Nope, you will just get a black screen if you put that on a x1 PCIe slot. These ones work on x1 PCIe:
