Which of these would you have liked to have grown up in and why? The nuclear family pulls in 70 grand a year and the commune family lives off the land.

I prefer the nuclear family. It's where I was raised. I think I avoided a lot of mistakes that I would regret very deeply because I was raised in the way I was. I have no major regrets about my life. This is unlike many people I have talked to. The main distinctions are not how people pay for their food, or acquire it, but in the values taught and the behavior condoned or not condoned. Ethics are sensible; they prevent heartache. Hippies were unlikely to teach clear ethics, in my opinion. I lived through both eras, by the way.

Commune family of the 60's, we had better drugs and free love.. Now it cost about 70 grand a year to take a girl to the movies.
